Good evening,
I know this is a large ask but is there anyone out there who could take a picture of a grave for me please. I am not sure if it will still exist and it may not even have a headstone. It is Compartment 228 Grave 88 at the Eastern Cemetery, Preston Road, Hull. It should be for an Albert Dargue born 1879.
He is my gt grandfather and it has taken me well over 10 years to find all the information I have on his life so far.
Thank you if you can help.

Was he Albert Ernest Dargue? Have you checked with the cemetery whether there is a headstone as he died in 1938 but birthyear is shown as 1874 on death reg (born 3.7.1879)
There is a tree on Ancestry with a photo of him in army uniform

I am the owner of the portrait thank you. He and his wife both had them done before he ran off. I am not sure if his new woman who was the informant knew his real age. I have the certs so will check them when I can get into my office. Will let you know what details I have. I will try and contact the cemetery.
Thank you

Have you considered posting your request on findagrave website

I had a look on there but it was not recorded but will try to do a request thank you

The records office will be able to tell you if a headstone exists. Many older headstones have been removed from cemeteries nationally for safety reasons

Thank you
