Hello. A will of Gawen Harris Nash dated 1783-1785 states that Jane Yoemans(daughter of Sarah Luttman) is his sister in law. I'm trying to figure out how this is the case. What is their relationship?
Really trying to find out Yeomans's spouse and father, but this seemed a clue to use to find out.

I'm not sure if this will help?

Anyone show a marriage for Gawen Harris Nash?
Anyone show family info of Sarah Luttman born ca 1730?
-
Where have you looked already, so that we're not duplicating fruitless research?
-
Okay, I think I've figured out some things.
I found that a Gawen Harris Nash married Mrs Sarah Luttman Jan 23, 1747.
Their daughter Jane was baptized Feb 26 1748.
So I am assuming that the Gawen Harris Nash whose will and codicil was dated 1787, was the son, from a previous marriage, of the Gawen Harris Nash who married Sarah Luttman.
Jane, his step sister, would be considered his "sister, in law".
So now, Looking for marriage of Jane Nash to a Yeomans.
-
And a marriage of Sarah (Unknown) to a Luttman
-
Also found that a Gawen Harris Nash was buried in Aug 9, 1752.
-
Gawen Harris Nash bap 2 June 1724 at Petworth Sussex son of Gawen Harris Nash and Mary
This would fit the death 1785 age 61
Gawen Harris Nash married Mary Fagge at Winston 8 September 1723.
ADDED she was the daughter of Sir Robert Fagge baronet
Gawen was Esq. doesn't say if he was a widow
-----.
There is also a Gawen Harris Nash who married Jane Peachy 9 July 1720 St Clement Danes.
According to the marriage allegation they were both of Petworth- dated 5 July 1720
He also made a statement that say he is a bachelor
-
Gawen Harris Nash and Jane had a daughter Jane bap 4 December 1721 died the 12th buried the 13th December 1721 at Petworth.
Jane his wife was buried 30 August 1722 wife of Gawen.
-
The Gawen Nash who married Sarah Luttman 1747 was of Windsor Berkshire.
He is the one who died 1753 Petworth
His probate was 23 August 1753. Those vouching for his hand writing say he was late of Windsor Berkshire.
he wishes to be buried in the same vault as his 2 wives and children. Executor eldest son Gawen Harris Nash also known as Captain Nash of the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards. All his children to love and help each other. Mentions youngest son John.
-
"The Gawen Nash who married Sarah Luttman 1747 was of Windsor Berkshire. He is the one who died 1753 Petworth."
It is stated that his will was made at 11 o'clock on Wednesday 10 June 1746, so his wife Sarah Luttman that he married on 23 Jan 1747 must have been his third wife.
