Hi , i am looking for any Carroll family, my ancestors came to Scotland from Drumcree in the 1850's
-
Hi and welcome to Rootschat, As Carroll is a very common surname, it would best if you could provide some names, dates and places of birth.

Welcome from me too
If you have them on any Scottish census can you please post full details? Your post gives no christian names or birthyears & you don't say where in Scotland they settled.
The 1851 Scottish census has 92 entries for that surname - all b Ireland ???

I can relate to that Carole, all of my Carroll Ancestors came from Ireland and non of them put the county on any census returns, some of them emigrated to America.

My Grandfather was Daniel Carroll (same as me) born 1902 in Govan Glasgow, his father was Edward Carroll born 1857 ish and his father was Patrick Carroll, i believe born around 1819 and married an Elizabeth Cullen.

Are you looking for living descendants of Daniel Carroll? If so - we can't help you as Rootschat has a very strict no living persons policy.
Or are you asking for help tracing backwards from Edward & Patrick? You need to clarify.
If backwards - we need more info. There is an Edward Carroll b 1855 with a wife Mary Ann b 1867 - both b Ireland. Is that your Edward? Daughter Lizzie aged 14 b England - all others b Govan?
Have you downloaded Daniel's birth cert from www.scotlandspeoole.gov.uk - what was Mary Ann's maiden name?
Did you get Edwards parents names from his marriage/death cert?

I have a record of a Kate Carroll who attended the baptism of my great-great Grandfather in Blackburn Lancashire in October 1878, could she be related?
