Title: Parents of Stephen HERNE & John HERNE christened at Alby

I am trying to find out more details concerning Stephen and Elizabeth Herne, the parents of Stephen Herne, christened at Alby 24 April 1776 and John and Elizabeth Herne, the parents of John Herne, christened at Alby 4 February 1786. I can't find any records or details of the marriages of these couples.

Stephen Heron widower and Elizabeth Roberts single woman 17.5.1775
wit William Gurrdie ? and William Bacon.

And John Herne at Holt of Salthouses  to Elizabeth Caythorp 1.11.1767 otp
wit John Caythorp and John Legge.

Thanks for your information. The places you mentioned - Salthouse, Holt & Thurgaton are all in the region of Norfolk where most of my ancestors, up to the early 1800's, had lived for nearly 200 years. I found that Elizabeth Caythorp was born 1735 at Gunthorpe, another place of interest that had lot's of Hurns/Hernes residing there. Will add your info' to my further research. Thanks again.
