Hi, this is a weird one for you.
I was wondering if anyone has had any findings on the above address as I have discovered both sides of my family have used this address but it was at a time that there was no connection between them.
I am starting to think that it was a Mother and Baby home?
Any light shed would be great.
Thanks,

Looks to be a private home in 1911-

on the census building return form (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000244387/) one of the at site 2, is described as a 'Rescue Home' - I think the dittos are incorrect an refer to private dwellings
The rescue home is also mentioned at this link (https://localwiki.org/dl/Northcote_Avenue)

Interesting, athacliath62. So perhaps the OP has the wrong house number or the numbers changed at some point? #4 is the household I linked earlier whereas the Rescue House is listed as #2 Northcote Ave.
