Title: Looking for the death and burial of William Haylock Rickwood
Post by: Black Sheep on Monday 28 February 22 20:52 GMT (UK)
I am continuing looking for some of my ancestors that have gone missing.

William Haylock Rickwood born Lambeth Surrey 1857

He moved to Lancashire and married Frances Wagstaff in 1883.

I follow them through the records until 1911, William looks like he was visiting his brother in Byker Newcastle upon Tyne but then he disappears..?

Frances (nee wagstaff) died in 1956 and is buried in Droylsden but without her husband ??

In 1939 Frances is living with her daughter as a widow. Why is she not buried with her husband ? I can not find any burials or any deaths in the right age range???

Hoping that someone may have some good ideas.

BS

There is a William Rickwood born 1857 Lambeth living in the parish of St Clement Danes on the 1921 census. Does not appear to be with Frances though

I had to google St Clement Danes John, is that Hertfordshire ? Was he living alone ?

His Occupation is leather bag maker and there are not so many Rickwoods..... wow, thanks for finding him for me.

The last time he was living with the family was the 1901 census, in the two years before that they had lost two sons both called Henry Rickwood in 2 years. :'(

Frances Rickwoods 1862 is with married daughter Frances Wade and family in South Manchester on the 1921 Census. She is with them also in 1939.
William in 1921 is with 69 others, all male except for a Joan , which is probably meant to be John.

St Clement Danes, St Martin, London
