I am going to try and look for school records for my grandmother. She was born in Flint, Flintshire in 1910. I believe that the records will be held in the Flintshire Records Office, but first I need to work out which school she would have been at. What schools were available in Flint around 1900 - 1925 and what ages would she have been at school during this period?
Thanks
Mike

Flintshire school registers are online at findmypast….an extensive collection covering this period.
That will be the place to look, as I suspect the Archives will direct you there.
As for which school, do you have the address she lived? Then a look at the large scale maps of the area at NLS might give the name of the local school.
In any case a search on FindMyPast by her name should work.

Thanks, just taken a look but there are no school records on there.

Just to clarify…do you mean you couldn’t find her, or that you couldn’t find the school records section?

I couldn't find any school records for Flint

Strange that!
So maybe an email to Flintshire Record Office would be in order to ask where the Flint schools records are, and/or why they are missing from FindMyPast.
It would be useful to us if you could post their reply.
Thanks.

Was it the Richard Muspratt Memorial Infants School?
If so North Wales Archive has a file E/X/20/1 covering the period 1921-1949.
