Hello: Can anyone help me in find the name for the spouse of a James Bracken, married about 1925 in Belfast. I only have the forename of Isabella to go on and as we all know, northern irish records are not free. Any help is very much appreciated.
Cheers

Have you looked on Family Search? www.familysearch.org or www.irishgenealogy.ie
Are you certain he married in Belfast?

A possibility is James Bracken of 124 Gt Georges Street who married an Isabella McLarnon of 11 Maralin Street in St. Patrick's Belfast, on 13 April 1925. A church transcript identifies both parents for each party - Hugh Bracken and Rose Murray for the groom, Daniel McLarnon and Bella McKerritt? for the bride. Joseph Devlin and Amelia O'Hara were witnesses to the ceremony.
Hugh Bracken married Rose Murray in 1894

those sites hold no info for Northern Ireland's civil BMD post partition 1921, just indices and images for the Republic. One has to use GRONI https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/search-gronis-online-records where there is a 75 year online access restriction for marriages.
as we all know, northern irish records are not free
Searching the indices only involves lodging 50 pence and if open 2 search tabs can search for marriages for James Bracken on one then input the spouse's surname and marriage date on the other to confirm first name is Isabella. A full view of the original entry is £2.50.
The site is down for maintenance from 5pm Fri 11th to 8am Mon 14th Feb.
