Title: WestIndies - John Gordon arrved West Indies in 1826 from Abdnshire (Auchterless)

I am looking for a John Gordon who arrived in the West Indies in 1826 from Aberdeenshire (Auchterless).
Does anyone have have in information on how to try and track this person down and how or where they may have left Scotland.
