(Born: Tadcaster 1902? Died: Lahore, India 19 March 1927)

Surely the Urdu word for dust - i.e. KHAKI. Just a logical assumption though.
If you have the time to research that and colour it up, that would be brilliant. n.b. The records of service you require ought to be still available from the Army Personnel Centre at the Ministry of Defence. The contact details are as follows:
