Hello, currently researching a James Walton who married a Jane Vicarage (few different spellings for her surname) in 1845 in Martley registration district (Vol18 Page 579). The had children William, Roseanne, Thomas, Louisa and Charles, and I think Thomas died in 1889 in Martley district.
Could somebody kindly tell me who the parents of James Walton were. thank you.,

The marriage was on 19 Oct 1845 at Hallow, but I only have access to a transcription.
-
That baptism certainly looks possible as his census replies are consistently born Pershore c1823.

Thank you all for checking. At least I have a baptism date, and names of parents - although "William and Ann" .... wish they were more inventive with Christian names. :) Do appreciate your help.

Thank you Cas, the possible death of William in 1839 is a bit of a blow .. less likely many offspring to help trace anything. Thanks for finding Emma's possible death as Wolton, as I had wondered why she was missing in the 1871 census. Appreciate your help, every little clue is a step forward (or backward?) cheers

Good finds Trish! :)
There is a possible connection to 1851 that Trish has posted. Maybe they where siblings?
Name: Ann Twinning
Baptism Date: 17 Aug 1800
Baptism Place: Holy Cross,Pershore, Worcester, England
Father: Edward Twinning
Mother: Frances
FHL Film Number: 98490
Name: Mary Twinning
Baptism Date: 22 Dec 1805
Baptism Place: Holy Cross, Pershore,Worcester, England
Father: Edward Twinning
Mother: Frances

1871 Ann is in same place as 1861, Pershore b1800 with 2 lodgers.
Interestingly, Emily Walton from 1841 becomes a housekeeper to William Bird Snr. His son William Jnr goes on to marry Rosanna Walton, dau of James.
I wonder if they meet through her aunt Emily?
Marriages Dec 1869 same page
Bird William Sampson Worcester 6c 487
WALTON Rosa Worcester 6c 487
Can be found in 1871 lodgers to William Bird Snr and housekeeper Emily (transcribed) Wolten. Walton in previous census.
Added: Although think the above marriage was short-lived.

Super sleuthing - I have had to read and reread these last posts to take it all in. Thank you ever so much. Think the case is now closed. :)
