Title: Dundee Cemetery

Am helping a friend.

Looking for the grave of:
Louise CONWAY
died: 1979
Age: abt. 25

Grave: Section RR, Lair No. 9

Hoping for a photo of headstone.

I don't know which cemetery unfortunately.
I'm in Australia so a bit difficult for me to research.

According to https://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/sites/default/files/publications/Burial%20Records.pdf there are ten cemeteries in Dundee.

Where did you get the lair number from?

According to Scotland's People Louise Dorothy Conway died in Dundee in 1979 aged 25.

In that case I suggest contacting Dundee City Council to ask which cemetery it is in.

Got more info....YAY...

balgay Cemetery, Glamis Road, Dundee-  near Dundee Airport.

Plot and grave info came from Dundee Council registers office

I have many family members buried in Balgay Cemetery not far from Louise's grave.

Unfortunately, I will not be back in Dundee for some months.

Can I suggest a site called Find a grave uk which may be helpful to you.

There is a burials department within Dundee City Council which you can email. They were very helpful to me in the past. They also sent me a map of Balgay Cemetery. RR is bottom left of the cemetery. The map is too large to attach and resizing down makes it unreadable. Unfortunately, I will not be in Dundee until April.

I know there is definitely a stone with the name Louise Cooney nee Lyon.

I live in Dundee and will pop in tomorrow 3 Aug 22, and take a pic.
