Hi all,
Just wanted to say hello, as I am newly signed up to this site.
I started researching my family tree many years ago, and was fairly active on this site. However, life got in the way and all that stopped. However, I have recently decided to pick it all up again, but to my frustration found that all my data from years ago has been lost (had it all saved on a computer that died). I also can't remember my login details for this site after so long, hence the new account
So here I am, starting all over again, and saying hello. :)

Welcome back.
If you can you remember surnames you were researching, you could look for them under "Surnames Interests" under "Your Tools" at foot of page and "Search" in dark-brown strip above your post. You may recognise your username. Which countries and counties where your ancestors from?

Thank you for the welcome. I remember my old username, but not the password, and not the email address to do a password reset. I can manage with the new account.
Most of my ancestors on the paternal side are from Essex/Norfolk, and on the maternal side from Wales.
I am also searching my wife's tree, which are from Cheshire area and Italy.

Welcome back to Rootschat and good luck with your research ;)

Hello MisterH, if you know your username I can update your old profile with your new details, you will have access then to your old topics and private messages.

Hi Sarah,
It's that possible? My old username was Taffyblue. Would be great to be able to access it again.
-
Yes I can see the profile, it was used last in 2013.
You will need to log off with this profile when you have logged off I will use your new email to edit taffyblue, when you receive an email resetting the password for taffyblue you can then log in again with your old profile.
If you get stuck there is a contact us button at the bottom of RootsChat, click on this to send us a message directly.
Regards
Sarah
