Hi. Looking for assistance please in tracking some of the children of John Bell (b1796) and Hannah Cousin (b1798).
In the 1841C the family are at Stainton, Dacre (near Penrith) with six sons William, Thomas, John, George, Matthew and Joseph. Older daughter Mary has yet to be tracked in the 1841C but reappears in 1851C.
- There is a daughter Hannah b 8 March 1828 Nenthead CUL, Christened 25 Dec 1828 Primitive Methodist Church. She is not with the family in the 1841C when they are found at Stainton, Dacre so presume she might have died?
- John (b 6 Jan 1826, Christened 19 Sept 1826 Redwing Congregational Church) can not be found after 1841C. Looking for him?
- George is a Grocers Apprentice in Penrith in 1851C but then disappears.
(Joseph dies in 1842, Matthew dies in 1855; the three eldest William, Mary and Thomas all marry)
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated please.
Regards
Warwick.

Thank you both Amondg and Rosie – much appreciated.
Firstly I note that this section of my tree was earlier work so I’m revisiting at present to extend and validate.
As Rosie noted Joseph was 6 in 1841. His birth was 9 May 1835, christening 19 July 1835 Primitive Methodist Church at Nenthead. I have his death as 4 Sept 1842 Stainton Dacre CUL so must have found that somewhere. Will have to check if I have it noted in any papers.
Regarding Matthew– that is not sourced as well. But I do have the specific date of 7 Sept 1855 at Patterdale where the family moved to after Stainton. I suspect it might be the parish register.
Still keen to track the other three children.
Thank you again for your interest.
