Hi everyone, my first post. J am looking for relatives in All Saints in Darfield Churchyard
In particular William and Amelia Stenton both died in 1892
Then I believe there are a few Stentons buried I there, does anyone have access to the records??

Welcome to Rootschat
Both deaths were registered in the March qtr 1892 Wortley
Is there any reason you think they were buried in Darfield? In 1891 they were living in Hoyland Swaine which is the Wortley RD but Darfield is approx 10 miles away & is in the Barnsley RD

Thanks for replying.
I believe a number of William and Amelias children were buried in All Saints in Darfield.
Also a number of Williams relatives were buried in Darfield around the same time.
I have searched dearne memorial to see if they were buried in Hoyland, Wombwell or the surrounding area to no avail. I know its possible they could be in Darfield Cemetery but I didn't think that dated as far back as the 1800s??
In all honesty I am probably clutching at straws and may never know there final resting place

Did the children die after their parents? If so - they may have moved out of the Hoyland Swaine area hence the Darfield burials. I note that William & Amelia were in Wombwell in 1861/71
They moved to Hoyland Swaine between 1871 - 1881
I'm sure somebody here will be able to help you
