Looking for some advice about cancelling FindMyPast subs. Last time I had a FindMyPast sub, it had an auto-renewal function that you could turn off to stop the sub being automatically started again. A friend has signed up for the 14-day free trial and can't find this auto-renewal option on the sub page - it just gives you the option of cancelling the paid-for sub at the end of the 14 day trial. Does this mean they have to manually cancel the paid-for sub the day before the 14 day trial expires? Perhaps an obvious question/answer but thought I'd check.
Thanks, Flemming.

Have you tried ?
Log in, go to 'My Account' and select 'My subscription'
Select 'Manage my subscription'
Next to the details of your subscription select 'Cancel Subscription'
A pop-up box will confirm the expiry date of your subscription.
Select 'Cancel Subscription' to continue.

Hi,
Just go with the option of cancelling sub before 14 day trial. Keep a copy, screenshot, or send a copy to yourself for verification if a charge goes through. Then it can be challenged.

Aha, thanks for that. So clicking on 'cancel' doesn't just do the deed there and then but gives you more information before you confirm.
