There isn't a photograph, but there is a description of Jesse in 1921:
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article252091458
"... 41 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, medium build, brown hair, blue eyes, tattooed on both arms and chest: a seaman ..."

Actually there is a photograph of Jesse - on his US passport application (12 Jan 1921).
Not sure what information you already have about him? Born Salem, Massachusetts 12 June 1880, father also named Jesse Richard LEE-CONWAY born Salem (according to this application).
Modified to add:
though on his marriage he says his father is Richard Francis LEE CONWAY :-\

If I have read the information found correctly then yes he would be an uncle to your mother.
alfred sydney heath
Is heath one of his middle names?
-
Alfred Sydney HEATH was the first husband of Rita Angus LEE-CONWAY

Page 2 of the passport application says the marriage certificate was a submitted piece of evidence, so perhaps the father’s name in the front is a clerical error? Seems very strange.
Also. It was an emergency passport application, valid for 3 months. Yet he was in Australia in April 1921

Passport application says he has been a mendicant seafarer (I think that is what it says in the trapped bit on the left) from 1903
I wonder if this is him in 1906, as Jesse Conway

Looking at his WW1 file.
1. He had to swear allegiance to the King. So that might be why he said he was born in Canada, as we know from later he was regarded as an Alien for being born in the USA.
Item 6 on page 1. Says He served an apprenticeship in Hartford USA ……. Can anyone figure out the last word?
https://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/ViewImage.aspx?B=8203210
Added. One of his tattoos is the “American Coat of Arms”. (Seems very odd for a Canadian!)
Added. The WW1 Jesse is only 5 feet 6 inches. While the alien and the passport applicant is 5 feet 9 inches.
Added. June 2021 1921(!)- Letter from solicitors to army asking for service record as Jesse claiming to have served 4 years. Army said it was private. But record shows he was only away about 4 months.
Added. His signature does look like the signature on the passport photograph.

Do I understand you to mean he, Jesse, wrote a letter at some point that is in the file for your mother, his grand-daughter?
What is the date of the letter? Is there an address?
-

ill get her files back and look at the date

There may be another son of Jesse and Mabel LEE-CONWAY. There is a WW2 enlistment for Keith Woodrow LEE-CONWAY - born 29 Nov 1919 Newtown, next of kin - Mabel LEE-CONWAY. I can't see a NSW birth registration for him though. :-\
There are many items in newspapers about this man on trove
https://trove.nla.gov.au
- in trouble with the law in various States, prison escapes and recaptures etc, including this one with a photograph:

I'm not sure if you already have this information:
Mabel LEE CONWAY died 23 April 1951 at South Yarra. Death notice here:
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article206391072
Wife of Richard (deceased), mother of Doug, Ern, Ivy (Mrs HAYES) and Keith.
Death registration 18320 / 1951 Castemaine. Unfortunately it looks like the death certificate may include many unknowns as there is no parents' names on the index.
-
No mention of Rita in the death notice :-\
For more colour, 1911. Going by Richard and known as “Yank”
