Title: Cobh to New York sailing 1958
Post by: dhaskett on Friday 29 October 21 10:13 BST (UK)
Hoping you guys can help me out.

Mary Keane Sears (originally from Belmullet Mayo) sailed from Cobh on 18th October 1958 and arrived in New York on 25th October 1958.

Does anyone know how I would go about finding what ship she was on?

Have you tried the New York State, Passenger and Crew Lists, 1917-1967 on Ancestry?

Cunard ran a regular service in 1958. Liverpool New York via Cobh.
BRITANNIC official number 162316
SYLVANIA o/n 187164
CARINTHIA o/n 187137
It may be worth your while to start off your search of Ancestry. as outlined by KG,  with these vessels.
Of course it could have been any ship.

Seaweed,
I've been chasing those 3 after seeing a newspaper advert for sailings, with dates, in Nov 1958 -  cannot find a similar advert for any October sailings.
However, found an item in a newspaper saying the Britannic was delayed by 12 hours from sailing on the 17th October from Liverpool. My money is on this horse at the moment.

regards
