This is granny Emma Elizabeth Jackson 1863-1942.
Would someone be kind enough to add some colour.
I'm afraid I can't help with any suggestions for the colour of the clothes but would
be very grateful for any help.

I have just used a site called colourise-it and here is the result if this is any help with some of the colours. I am guessing probably not but here it is anyway.

Is there any indication of colopur from the original or is it a case of experience and judgement.

Wow! What a wonderful selection you have given me.
It must have taken hours to do these photos in colour and I am extremely grateful.
A big thankyou to all of you.

25 minutes. Couldn't find any original colour. Was it scanned behind scratched glass? Random choice of colour depending on mood, If you really want to you can specify colours and I can redo it, cheers, Ian

I have no idea of the colour I'm afraid. She died before I was born.
I would guess the colours were probably muted because of the period but not sure.
Like Queen Victoria she mostly dressed in dark colours after her husband died in 1918 so I've been told. Here agin this is only heresay.
