Post by: ryan37 on Saturday 23 October 21 10:45 BST (UK)
Hi folks looking to find and learn more on John carr who was a royal Scott , he seemed to be with the Gordon highlanders Aswell prior to his death

Can anyone help me understand where and how John died ? What was the Regiment he served in doing ?

I think he is buried in France

On some of his records his occupation prior to war service appears to be seaman and jute tenter,

His reg no was 302811

I see on Dundee war heroes their is a small section about him , it has a newspaper cutting photo but

I would like to find out which newspaper had this photo and possible information

Any help
And information is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Ryan

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission site shows him serving with 7Bn, Royal Scots. He is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois memorial which means his body was never recovered and its location is only known to god. The site does not show any relatives of his.
