Have a John Graham death notice from Belfast Telegraph. John died March 17 1909 in Ballysillan and for interment in family burying ground, Dundrod.
How do I find out who is buried in this "family burying ground".
Have looked at Dundrod Presbyterian Church Memorials and done a search but nothing shows up.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I can see several Graham inscriptions listed for Dundrod Presbyterian Graveyard, but no specific mention of John who died in 1909, however, the following one caught my eye, could he be one of a number buried here?
Family burying ground of John Graham, Legoniel, the family burying ground of William Graham, Carnaugless

Thanks gaffy.
If John Graham d 1909 was buried in the John Graham Legoniel family burying ground how would I go about finding that out. I have a few missing Grahams, including John's wife Margaret.
I'm familiar with the Grahams from Carnaugless however, have not been able to link the families.
kind regards

You could contact the church, but I'll forewarn you now of my experience.
I have two sets of relatives buried in Presbyterian graveyards in County Down, I know they're there because of newspaper death notices, but the churches don't have burial records for them and all one can see on the ground is an enclosed plot headed by a stone with the surname inscribed on it. In one case, the tally of death notices confirms 11 in the grave and as I say, not a record held (and they're old burials, well beyond the memory of the living).

Dundrod burial records are not held by PRONI on microfilm so only option is local contact

There are certainly a number of more recent Graham headstones there, can see 3 in Streetview https://goo.gl/maps/Uxd8mKTTGcYjZegm7

Thanks everyone for your help. I will pursue all avenues you have kindly offered.
I'm hoping that the vicar is kindly in Dundrod.... I'll try him first as I'm not located in Ireland.

Two points to mention-
1) most Presbyterian churches in Ireland do not keep burial records. Often the only paperwork for a burying-ground might be a plot map listing a family name or plot holder (sometimes it's the name of the original owner or the last known person to have claimed the plot and since re-claimings aren't done that often it could be someone long gone)
2) Presbyterian clergy are called ministers (rector is a term used in the Church of Ireland)

Thanks Sam. Through my Graham research I do know about all the people you mentioned. Have never been able to link them to my family.
I have a number of reasonably solid facts that support Dundrod as being important to my family. A Robert Graham b?1758 d 28 Oct 1858 Dundrod left in his will 5 acres to Joseph Graham, "my nephew". This Joseph is my relative.
Belfast Newsletter Nov 15 1858 has his death notice, along with his son, Dr Robert Graham who died the 25 Oct 1858 of cancer.
Joseph Graham is on the Griffiths 1862 Budore with his 5 acres and his children on their marriage records give Budore, Parish of Tullyrusk as their residence. The John Graham (d 1909) that I mentioned in my first post is one of Joseph's sons.
This family intermarried with Nutt, Irwin, Milliken, Magee, Lewis and more families in this area. Many related burials in Dundrod which I have.
I do appreciate your help with this.
