I'm looking for Jacob Samuels and wife Clara Cohen Samuels who arrived NY Ellis Island 1848

Possibly unrelated but a Simon Samuels Age 24 Native Country Great Britain arrived in New York on the same ship on 22 Oct 1848

One tree on Anc suggests the Joseph and Clara married in 1844 in Portsea, Hampshire Dec Qtr 1844 Portsea I Vol 7 Page 291 - Can't see any children from this marriage on the GRO Birth Index :-\

Sadly all the Samuels seem to disappear after 1848 :-\

If the couple who married in 1844 in Portsea are the right couple it does tie in reasonably well with this Clara living in Portsea in 1841

Yes Kay, those are the family in Portsea. Isaac is the Father. Actually my Gt Gt Grandfather.
I have Clara's marriage to Jacob Samuels 1844 But our problem is that we have no Idea what happened to them once they reached USA. Hence I was wondering about the NY census
