i  beleive john penfold born 1782  hythe kent died 1868  shirley hampshire
m  charlotte b 1781 d 1874
love to know who his parents are  can any one help me pleas

1861 census gives his place of birth as Kingston, Dorset

sorry i was told hythe kent.there is also hythe dorset.doe it say who his parents are please

Census do not name parents unless they are living with them at the time

I presume you mean Bucklebury, Berks.  Priscilla was baptised at Alfold, Surrey.
There was also a marriage in 1803 at Bucklebury of an Elizabeth Penfold/Pinfold, she married Robert Gardner.  I wonder if she was related.

Sibling ,Mary Baptised 17 August 1788.
 All Saints Church Lydd . Lydd is not far along the Coast from Hythe

As I asked before, where did his place of birth as Hythe come from.  Do you have him on the 1841 or 1851 census

                 Do you have any actual authentic proof of where you got your data from. I think you have been led up the garden path as you don't confirm where.
                Most of the info appears to indicate his marriage occurred in Bucklebury Berkshire
                Are you sure your man wasn't Born in Bucklebury, Berks as John PINFOLD.(to parents William and Mary. Baptized at St Mary's Newberry.)
               All the signs point to it being your man as he Married Charlotte Smith there in 1806.You need to lay eyes on the Parish Marriage certificate to confirm his Father's Name and the Banns of Marriage to see if he was of the Parish.It also looks like he was Buried as John Punfeld at Kingston Lisle Berks in 1868.Again you need eyes on the register to confirm (probably a transcription error for Pinfield)
