Title: What does he manufacture?
Post by: dusty2 on Monday 11 October 21 13:51 BST (UK)
Hi - I've struggled to identify what kind of manufacturer has signed this note. It reads, as best I can tell: ...will write [words crossed out] you, yours truly, Daniel Sutherland ... manufacturer. I am hoping that someone could identify this for me, please.

There's a Daniel Sutherland in Stoke in the 1871 census who is a parian maker. Parian is a fine white porcelain resembling marble.

That's a great resource. Next but 1 on the list after Sutherland is Swinnerton which I used to collect.
