Title: 264 Railway Co RE WW1 France
Post by: Coppersend on Wednesday 06 October 21 19:13 BST (UK)
Hello everyone
I saw recently on this forum someone was interested in the 264th Railway Co
R.E when they served in France.
I have a postcard from Xmas 1918-9 posted by my G Uncle Sapper Joseph Holder.
I know he survived the war and returned home.

I am looking for any resources available or if someone can sign post me in the right direction to find more information.
I tried the National Archives without a lot of success

Name:   Joseph J Holder
Regiment or Corps:   Royal Engineers, Royal Sussex Regiment, Royal Engineers
Regimental Number:   267185, 9304, WR/270877

Any Help please

A quick look I haven’t come up with anything, someone else may have more luck p.  Are you aware that between 60% and 70% of WW1 records were lost in a fire in WWW2.
