Title: Location in Censuses of lowes hill and Hammersmith Ripley
Post by: isitdust on Tuesday 05 October 21 16:14 BST (UK)
Hello

Could someone point me in the right direction
We have had some relatives in the past living in the Ripley Derbyshire Area in the past

BUT

I know they lived on Lowes Hill Ripley and in a small hamlet called Hammersmith Ripley

I’ve tried looking in the 1841 51 61 71 81 BUT cannot find the start/end of the enumerators entries

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me to the location of these entries

Thank you in advance
Peter

1851
H0107/2145 folio 158 page 18

If you have access to FindMyPast they have a street search for census records.

And if you have Ancestry then when you find a name and view the image of that page, you will then be able to change the image number (on the film strip at the bottom of the screen) to 1 which will give you the coverage of the Enumeration District.

I looked for David Whysall born 1802, and came up with his name on image 19 of 59, so then changed image to 1.

Hi Peter

Originally you posted, the following looking for the History of Your House,  have you now discovered
relatives living previously in the Hammersmith area? If not and still looking for your house on a census
have you investigated any of options suggested
