Any info gratefully received on James Richardson from 'Ireland' who married Mary Winifred Fisher (1899-1974) Marriage abt 1917 in Gateshead. I have so far found no trace of where he came from, nor when he arrived. We believe they lived in Beechwood Gardens, Gateshead. Mary W Fisher was orphaned at a young age.

In the 1911 census Gateshead there is a James Richardson age 18 from County Down Ireland, an apprentice Fitter in the gas works, living with his parents and siblings (David 19, Robert 14 and Minnie 8 ). Father is James age 42 a Gas stoker from Co Donegal Ireland and mother is named Minnie (or Mary) age 41 from County Down
The same family is also in Gateshead in the 1901 census.

If you look at the marriage above it, same church, same day, same residence and father's details for the bride... I wouldn't be surprised if it was a joint wedding celebration for sisters.

Service and cremation at Birtley on Friday, 12 noon. Private afterwards.
I checked both death dates in the Birtley Crematorium Book of Remembrance but there's no entry for either of them.
