Hi all, could you please help me identify the name under the "with compliments" on the bottom right.
The rest reads "A carved tree - Boree tribe
"with compliments"
??
"Mr C R Wythes"
Many thanks
Hayley

Looks like C R Wylde (unless you know is Whythes) and E White
-
thanks Shanreagh - yes I know it is Wythes but we were debating the "White" as it also looks like E W W??e. Because his "h" in "Wythes" and "with" both have a rollover on the bottom of the h. Also there is the big space after the W? I was thinking it might have been the photographers name but I've had no luck there with a search on the papers.

I'm seeing a large E followed by W W and what looks like 're'.
Where and when was this photo taken?

Thanks Girl Guide
it was taken in the 1920's-30's in Australia - NSW - Orange

Have you searched for likely photographers for that area and era? I don't know if NSW has such a thing as a list of photographers.
