Title: Jacob Henry from Philadelphia
Post by: Mary Beth on Sunday 26 September 21 16:03 BST (UK)
Hello.
My 2nd great grandfather Jacob Henry was born December 1798 in Philadelphia (possibly Spring Garden area).  I am seeking his parents.  He married first wife about 1828 (possibly Elizabeth).  They had at least 2 daughters, Susannah (Israel Bendel), and Mary (William Vaux).  May of had 2 sons.)  Wife died before between 1828 -1831..  He then married Margaret Boch about 1831 , and had 9 other children.  About 1833 he moved to Doylestown, Bucks County, PA.  His DOD is 1870.  Thank you.

It's a possibility his mother is Hannah Bantleon and father George Henry.

Google "biographical history of bucks county pennsylvania" and  see if you can find a history of Bucks Co. A lot of them from the late 1800s had short biographies of "prominent" members of the community. He might be mentioned and his bio might mention his parents.
Find the book on line for free, you shouldn't have to pay. They are in the public domain and should be at archive.org, google books, or maybe an old genweb page for the county.
