I too do this and sometimes go door knocking if I find a house that is still standing, I go and give them the postcard:

This is a lovely story and a lovely thing to do .
I have a collection of postcards that are more recent 1970-80's but from all over the world .i traced the address in Leicester but its now a betting shop .
I didnt try to trace senders or recipients because they may still be living .but i might have a go .

Is there a link to stu s FB page ?

Always worth a try Brigid, I have emailed copies not only of postcards but memorial cards too to people that I found in Ancestry trees and their pleasure and surprise is always worth it.
