Hi, Mt Gt, Gt, Gt Gran's son from her first marriage was Robert Russell. He died aged 16 of drowing in number 24 Kinneil Pit along with 3 others including a 13 year old boy. That was on 7th August 1857. There was no health and safety watching out for the workings and they hit an old seam that had filled up with water and four of them died. On the death Certificate there is a bit from John Shaw the Undertaker that they had been taken to Bo'ness churchyard. I have tried the different graveyard searches for Bo'ness and linlithgow graveyards and I can't find him. Any Ideas? Pat

Although Bo'ness was in West Lothian due to local government reorganisation it is now in Falkirk Council area. Falkirk Council Archives are located in Callendar House.
