Title: Where is the death registration?
Post by: whiteout7 on Friday 24 September 21 05:51 BST (UK)
Very confusing

Paul Robert Glentworth died 15 May 1961 (findagrave)
And
Brian Donald Glentworth died 10th May 1961 (billiongraves)

How would you find the index entry for either of these men at vicbdm?

It appears they are in the same grave? I can't find either in a record outside of Melbourne General Cemetery.

Do you know that they died in Victoria?

I know of a death in Wagga NSW and their burial in Bundaberg Qld.   The d.c. was issued in NSW as that is the jurisdiction where the death occurred.

No registration on my resource for Victoria.
I wonder if they died at sea?

Hi,
I have been able to look at the exact headstone which is referenced on the websites you mentioned.

This is the wording
 Glentworth
In loving memory of Brian Donald loved son of Dorrie and RON (edit)Glentworth who died 10th May 1961 aged 30 years

There is a footnote which says [shows as Paul Robert in the register ]

Religion RC Section W grave 1  1  9

The death actually occurred in South Australia, not Vic.

Brian Donald GLENTWORTH
Death 10 May 1961
South Australia
Year   1961-1963

Volume     923

He died at Whyalla Hospital.

Thankyou so much Sparret, Cando and Majm.

I did not know where in Australia he passed.

All we know is some type of machine accident.

Also not being able to locate the registration did mean we could not order the death certificate and pay for it.

How interesting he changed his name.
