Title: Robert Seymour born early 1900s
Post by: Martin seymour on Friday 10 September 21 20:12 BST (UK)
Hi all I'm looking into the Seymour line from Yorkshire some of my trail has Thirsk on it. I'm looking mainly for info on a Robert Seymour born early 1900s to a Charles Seymour and a Kate Jowett, Robert was my grandad and part of the family I never knew due his son Brian my dad passing before I was born. I know Robert had my dad and another son called Clifford but don't think Gladys Butterfield and Robert were married at the time. My dad was born in Bradford in 1945 Gladys was born about 1912 so I believe Robert may have also been born around that time. I believe the butterfields may have spent a little time in ovenden/illingworth part of Halifax before being in Bradford. And mainly Thornton road/Thornton village part of Bradford when in Bradford.

It would be better to start a fresh topic; I will ask a moderator to move your post.

It looks to me like Gladys claims a 1911 birthdate in 1939, (@ 30 Jervaulx Crescent, Bradford).
married, no husband present

Thank you Pauline I believe that's him I have that in my tree wasn't so sure about Norman though as not always come across him I have him married to a smith which I have smith as my 3rd cousins in my DNA so not sure if they would be 3rd cousins the whole scenario with cousins is confusin and I can't seem to find any paper work between Robert and Gladys Butterfield which is my gran. They had 2 boys together Brian my dad and a Clifford but when comes to paperwork for Robert and Gladys there doesn't seem to be any. I know either the Butterfield or Seymour line is Romany due to my DNA and the names I have within it.
