Looking for information on Edward Rowe whose occupation was given as Light Keeper on his daughter's marriage record in 1924, in Kilrane church. Any help would be appreciated
-
No name or birthyear/birthplace details given for the daughter to help with any search.
Presuming the daughter was born in Ireland & if she married in 1924 she should be on the 1911 census? Have you looked?

My colleague and I have searched the census using variants of the surname, but no Edward with that profession, no information on Agnes other than her marriage record
-
Yes I did the same - it’s odd.
Do you have the couple in later years?
-
John Keogh was from county Kilkenny and they moved there where they had their family. John died young. I have been in contact with Irish Lights but they couldn't find any records of Edward
-
There is this Agnes - the age is out a bit too

May have joined at outbreak of Boer War.
A GGF of mine, son of Irish parents in England was missing from 1901 England census and from a studio portrait of GGM & my little grandma. Took me a while to realise why he was absent from both. I found his military records. He'd been a member of the county militia (or its' then equivalent) and was called up at outbreak of Boer War and posted to Gibraltar, taking over garrison duties from the regular army unit which was sent to S. Africa. He served 14 months, then discharged as unfit for further service.

Thank you all for your help. We were given to understand that the family was from county Wexford which might not have been correct after all
-
It seems to be Wexford from Waterford :)
Did you see Dominic in those censuses? All seems to fit.
