Looking for any information about this lady. Her mother was Marie Walker father unknown.
She married William Hallihan in 1948 and her second marriage in 1956 to Jack /John Heap. both in Blackpool.

What are you hoping we can find please?
What other than what you have posted do you already know
Incidentally on all records her name seems to be spelt as MariAn
-
When did Marian die?
There were children born to both marriages whose details cannot be given here as they are probably still alive. Have you contacted them for information?
At least one child can be tracked using the marriage index and www.192.com

My friend is the daughter Marion, but she knows nothing about her mother who was not in her life. She would like to know what happened to her mother after second marriage and if she had another family. She would also like to find out if her mother stayed in Blackpool or moved away .Thanks for the input from everyone who replied.

Both the children of William had contact with him and had good relations with him and arranged his funeral.
It is Marian's daughter who wonders what happened to her mother and her marriage to John /Jack Heaps and any information if she had another family. If anyone has any knowledge of the Heaps family.
Thank you.

www.freebmd.org.uk - search for Heap births with mmn Walker (not Hallihan)
The second birth I found is not connected to the second marriage. Too close to the first birth
There is also the possibility she & Heap divorced & she re-married. There is also the possibility she is still alive as there is no obvious death for her under Heap
-
You are referring to John as Heaps but the marriage is Heap.
Heap is a common name unfortunately. Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate? That might show his father’s name.
It should show an occupation for John which could help trace him in later records.
Do you have any idea of his age/birth year?
Is there an address on the certificate to check with electoral registers, telephone directory?
-
Sorry there doesn't
appear to have any certificates regarding the marriage or any more information about the Heaps family or what happend to my friends mother.
Alexanderina.

Should the name be Heaps rather than Heap?
Was he generally called Jack rather than John?
It might be a good idea for your friend to purchase the marriage certificate. It would hopefully show some details about a John that might help.

Both the GRO index and www.lancashirebmd.org.uk show his surname as Heap

Yes I agree but Alexanderina has referred to Heaps and I thought she might know more than we do ;)

Her mother was Marie Walker father unknown
Date of birth from birth certificate?
Mum Marie or Maria, i.e. a Maria Walker born 1905, Blackpool, unmarried 1939, later Fisher, died 1948 :-\
Jack Heap birth registered Fylde (Blackpool South), Sep 1927, mother Booth. Possible?
-
There is also the possibility she & Heap divorced & she re-married. There is also the possibility she is still alive as there is no obvious death for her under Heap
Has she been found on 1939 Register or is her name still redacted?
-
Not found in 1939 and no death matching her birthyear. Also used GRO online but only goes to 2019

So no evidence that she is deceased unless she died recently or emigrated.
Has her mother been found on 1939 Register and are there redacted entries in her household?
-
There is a birth and marriage for a Maria Walker, 1905, Blackpool.
There is a death just after marriage and a probate.
1939 entry matches the marriage.
There is no sign of a child/redaction though so just to note at the moment.
Addresses etc from certificates might help.
-
I did notice the probate, didn't mention it, an administration with will, but it could be worth getting, if there is a chance that it is Marian's mother.
Mr. Fisher seems to have been a wardrobe dealer (on Rootschat we know what that is!) and he has some adverts in the Fleetwood Chronicle.
-
I don’t know what that means.
He is a general dealer in Maria’s probate notice.
I wonder if the address George Street means anything to Alexanderina and friend.
-
It's a dealer in second hand clothes.
Probably doesn't help much in finding Marian!
-
I never knew that. I thought it was a furniture dealer ;)
-
Thak you everyone for their help in trying to help my friend find out what happened to her mother.
I have been unwell and unable to go any further with this search.
