The above couple marry Wednesbury 1871 and there are 7 GRO birth index entries possibly attributable to their children but as yet I can find no trace of Richard or Emma in any subsequent census. None of their children appear in any census before 1901 as far as I can discover. The "GRO" children are:
Emily Mary Ann Poller q2 1872 Birmingham
Charles Poller q1 1875 Aston
Henry Pollard q3 1876 Birmingham
Cliff Pollard q4 1878 Birmingham
William Pollard q1 1881 Birmingham
Florence Pollard q4 1882 Birmingham
Beatrice Pollard q1 1886 Birmingham
Charles Birmingham marriage record suggests his father died before 28 Nov 1896.
Any pointers towards the 1881 & 1891 census records, please? Richard Poller/Pollard's occupation appears variable (from marriage certs.) and it's possible I might have 2 (or more) families mixed up...
TIA

Thank you all for your suggestions and assistance. It's looking very likely that Emma/Emily Edkins is Emma Winters and I'll tease it apart over the weekend. I'd thought remarriage might have occurred but missed the Edkins/Pallard/Pollard union. Very well done Rosie17!

The 1901 census Birmingham she is down as Emma Edkins age 42 widow
Florence Edkins daughter 19
Thomas Edkins son 13
Sidney Edkins son 11
Rose Edkins daughter 8
Thomas Redding ( transcribed Edwin) 34 boarder
She says she is a widow which could be possible as there is a death for a
John Edkins 1895 Warwickshire age 34 ? And there is also a possible sighting of John on The 1901 Census with a different partner
Rose Edkins can be found with her sister Florence Hazeledine in 1911 who is now married to John Frederick Hazeledine..
Still not been able to find them in 1881 ???

It's proving an interesting insight into the various records with Florence marrying as an Edkins yet her daughter Beatrice has mmn "Pollard" whereas son William has mmn "Edkins". The assistance you've given has enabled me to fill in a few more gaps and I'm looking forward to discovering more about Emma Winter's other children. Cliff appears as Clifton & Arthur Clifford...William marries and migrates to US. I've still to find a death record for Richard Pollard and there is Thomas Edkins in that 1891 census who may have been born to a previous partner of John Edkins; I've yet to find any marriage record for him & Emma/Emily. I'm pretty sure Emma was born q3 1852 Aston to Thomas Winters & Emma Carter, however, if she didn't marry Edkins then that 1910 death record may well hers.
