From the NSW Index to Deceased Estate Files, 1859-1958 it's possible that he didn't leave a will ("Aff Only") and Date of Grant is undated

His death notice, and that of his wife, can be viewed here:

A lot of family trees on Ancestry for the family as well. Can't confirm their accuracy.

Hi, Find My Past have a Record Set called "New South Wales Will Books 1800-1952"

There is not a record of a Will for Edwin, however there are details of  Mary Catherine's will. Seems that Mary had the property not Edwin, as she made provisions for her husband to be provided with a comfortable Home out of her estate, and if any remained to be equally divided between her son and Daughter.

Thank you to Jamjar and CassT for their replies.

Edwin Kay (1852-1929) was employed by the Leigh-based brewery, "George Shaw and Co., Ltd., Leigh Brewery". I would particularly welcome information on this connection.

Edwin Kay (1852-1929) married Mary Catherine Mansley (of the well-known and successful Leigh-based rope works family) on 5 November 1873, in Leigh. Not too surprised therefore to learn from his wife's will where the wealth of the partnership lay.
