Mug or tankard presented to Benjamin Roberts. In 1911 he was club steward at Conservative Association club in Forest Gate area .. before that possibly in Lambeth Area. Died 1922. Does anyone recognise the insignia .. what looks like a leather belt with the word 'Wilson' in the centre?

Who was the Chairman of the Conservative Party at that time? Who was the MP?
It looks like the Garter Belt and a mullet of eight points - both heraldic devices. It is highly unlikely that the local chairman would be a Knight of the Garter, so that says national to me.
Regards
Chas
