Title: moving from Family Tree Maker to a program for a Samsung galaxy Tablet
Post by: gerimund on Saturday 07 August 21 23:50 BST (UK)
I have used Family Tree Maker for years, upgrading it periodically, and would be happy to continue to use it.  However it does not have an android version.  I no longer have access to a windows computer and need to install a substitute on my tablet.  I have saved my file (ca. 2000+ persons) as a gedcom file.  I would be happy to pay for a program.  I have hesitated to upload them to Ancestry or My Heritage, though I am a member of both.  Basically privacy issues.

Any suggestions?  I did download Family Tree Maker GTG, but it is not updated for my version of android.

Hi, may I suggest Rootsmagic which I have on an Android version. There is a free version you could try and see if you like it and an enhanced version you pay for.
