Title: Searching for James BELLISS
Post by: minniehaha on Wednesday 04 August 21 10:11 BST (UK)
Hi everyone,

I am trying to find-

(a) the birth of James Belliss [parents?]- may also be known as James Henry Belliss
(b) the death of James Belliss.
(c) where he and his wife were buried.
.
His marriage:
1878/3029   Jane   Hastie   James   Belliss

The death of his wife: [I think]
1919/1356   Belliss   Jane   65Y

I don't need details of their children.

Family tree found:
https://www.geni.com/people/James-Belliss/6000000077078760800

Hoping this man can be traced.

Minniehaha.

Hi Minniehaha,
Using the electoral rolls as a finding aid, I found James and Jane Belliss buried in Taihape cemetery.
The following is the link to their records - enter the surname "Belliss"

Thanks everyone. You have joined the dots nicely.  :)

Because he married just using 'James', I wasn't sure whether or not he was actually 'James Henry' so didn't dig much further.

Also I was not able to find the burials for husband and wife in the cemetery indicated in that family tree link.
