In 1881 Wrexham , Wales there is Louis Roger b 1852 Paris , France. He is a currier. Unmarried.
In September 1882 he marries Mary Elizabeth Nadin in Chester.
There is no image but his father is Casmia Roger. 1891 and he is still Louis Roger.
Louis Roger died in 1894 and made a will. His address is the same as 1891
Name: Louis Roger Death Date: 5 Aug 1894

There is no entry in the deaths index but there is this.
Eugene Gonat Age: 42 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1852

He is buried in Wrexham Cemetery as Louis Roger.
One of his children is registered as

So now there is a mystery, is this the same man which is on Ancestry as a possible connection.

Father's Name: François Cléophas Casimir Gonat

Is there anything on this image that gives an occupation. I can`t understand.

That death does look likely, you may have to purchase the certificate to see if it ties in.

Thanks, I have Louis from 1881 till his death, and all his childrens baptisms.
It's really more about his life in France I'm interested in.

The French marriage record gives Eugène's occupation as "tanneur" (leather dresser) and Eugénie's as "institutrice" (primary school teacher). However, the entry is crossed through, so maybe it never took place - ???

Searching on North Wales BMD brings up death entries under both names, with the same reference. There are usually 5 entries per reference, but in this instance there are six, suggesting that you are correct and that Louis & Eugene are the same man:

Yes - I thought that - he is definitely a French relation - big difference though from 1858 birth to 1851 ...I think Louis told a little white lie on the census form ...lol
