Title: GORMAN - 44 Hine Street, Burdett Road, Poplar
Post by: helenmcasmith on Thursday 29 July 21 15:29 BST (UK)
I am looking for any information for the address 44 Hine Street, Burdett Road, Poplar - which appeared on an admissions record for one of my ancestors.

William GORMAN appears to have disappeared after he admitted his mother into the hospital.  I cannot find an address of 'Hine Street' and wondered if anyone who knows the area can confirm if there is such an address.  William James DUKE was born illegitimately to Mary Ann DUKE in 1859, but took the surname of GORMAN after she married Hugh GORMAN in 1869.

There was a Hind Street in Poplar, which ran from Stainsby Road to Upper North Street.  I suppose it would have been slightly to the east of Burdett Road.
