I have been looking into the whereabouts of a lady called Veronica Mary Jones.
Found on 1939 register that she changed her surname to Sparks, the Hurdley. She was from Birmingham.
She later lived in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
I found a record of death in Wharfedale for a Veronica M Hurdley. Think this may be her. Can't find any proof though. ???

Asking again with reduced information isn't productive.
Work on proving she isn't your girl. Eg electoral rolls. Did you purchase the death cert? Who informed? With whom is the candidate death buried? Who arranged burials?

I did not have the information regarding me having found someone called the same name, who had died in Wharfedale at the time I originally posted. I put this on a specific West Yorkshire board, not the same as my last request.
I have not bought a birth certificate/ death certificate/marriage certificate etc as I have paid a subscription to Ancestry hoping that I would be able to find something. I am trying to find this out for a person who until last week was a complete stranger to me. I have never met the poor man. I hope to in the near future. It is him who is looking for his real parents.
Sarcasm is not productive either!

If you have Ancestry, then you can do the ER searching for yourself. Buying the cert or two would perhaps have been a better use of funds. Access through libraries is still free for many at home.
Listing avenues for you to explore is not sarcasm.

Hi cacran,
I posted the information re Veronica Hurdley on your other thread.
It is helpful to link to other information as we tend to go off and start searching around.
You have quite rightly mentioned 1939 register but it wouldn’t take long for replication of the previous information to be posted here by people trying to help and it would be a waste of their time.
It might well be that the death certificate is needed to see who reported the death. There seem to be a lot of Hurdleys in Yorkshire :-\

Thank you for explaining. I did not expect people to go out of their way to look for me, I just thought that on the off chance, someone else might have her in their tree.
I have completed a tree on Ancestry so that Veronica's son can at least get some information about his mother and others in her family. I will mention to him about getting death certificates etc. when I meet up with him.
I have had a couple of responses that appear to be a bit unkind, maybe could have been worded a bit
better.
Things may seem obvious when you already know the way things work.
Thank you for the information that you kindly gave me. I will, Wharfedale is just on the outskirts of Bradford so think it is likely to be right.

I have looked again but nothing and the Wharfedale area seems to cover a few of the towns in the surrounding area.
I hope the death certificate helps.
Ancestry has some West Yorkshire electoral registers to 1962 but I can’t see Veronica. I think the record showed a change of name abt 1959?
