Perhaps there was no Elizabeth in 1841 ... IGI has
JANE PALMER
Christening: 18 SEP 1832 Pinchbeck, Lincoln, England
Father: WILLIAM PALMER Mother: JANE
The NBI has a Jane PALMER buried Pinchbeck 13 Aug 1840 (44).
Marriage
WILLIAM PALMER
Spouse: JANE BUGG
Marriage: 24 SEP 1818 Pinchbeck, Lincoln, England

Hi Geoff,
many thanks,
Trisha :) :) :)

Hmm ... the IGI is confusing me!
ELIZ SENTANCE
Christening: 17 JAN 1800 Edenham
ELIZABETH SENTENCE
Spouse: WILLIAM PALMER Marriage: 31 AUG 1826 Edenham, Lincoln, England
Sorry to confuse you too! Perhaps just a coincidental red herring :D because-
MARY ANNE PALMER see 1841 Census
Christening: 12 OCT 1821 Pinchbeck, Lincoln, England
Father: WILLIAM PALMER Family
Mother: JANE
Or perhaps the Wm PALMER found in 1841 is not the right one .... if you definitely want the one with Elizabeth, it probably isn't.
PANIC OVER
1841
615-21/5
North St, Bourn
William PALMER 45 Farmer
Elizabeth 41
Henry MACHIN 12
All born in Lincs
They didn't show up in the index as the name was entered in the census as
"Palmer WILLIAM" and Liz was "Elizabeth WILLIAM"! >:(
Finally, the "other" William PALMER (still in Pinchbeck) is aged 52 in 1851. He was born Pinchbeck.
The IGI has a baptism for 1796 but NOT for 1799.

The Machin nephew is the son of Elizabeth's sister Susannah and John Machin. The niece Elizabeth is Elizabeth's brother James and Caroline Fancourt's daughter.
