Hello everyone
Just to let you know I have conducted a one name study on the Duggleby (and variant spellings) worldwide which goes back to about 1550 in UK.
I have published this here

kind regards

If you search below for Duggleby/Dugleby/Duggelby/Dugelby, you will get a few from 1600 back to the early 1400s. For example Richard Dugelby of Beverley in 1420.
These are legal records, the main ones being Common Pleas.

Thank you for pointing me to this site.
I have lots of pre 1600 Duggleby references but not these.
Once I have enough I am going to attempt to put together a tree from them.

Thanks to you pointing me to the WAALT site and by me seaching on all of the 93 variant spellings I managed to get another 19 pre 1600 Duggleby references!
The earliest being from 1349,

You will find a few more using google:
site:http://aalt.law.uh.edu/indices/cp40indices/ duggelby
And other name variants replacing duggelby. The Common Pleas indexes are on two different servers, so it's not possible to get them all with one search.
All of the Common Pleas indexes are listed individually here:
http://aalt.law.uh.edu/Indices/CP40Indices/CP40_Indices.html
There almost 100 of them, so it's much easier to search using WAALT and Google.
