Hi,

I wondered if anyone may help with any information about this photograph taken sometime during WW2.

Many thanks for your help.

Name on his cap at the front looks like HMS Victorian, if so here's the history of the ship. Cold weather so northern convoys as in the history.

HMS Victorian was a WW1 vessel not WW2.

The cap tally could be HMS Victorious, the only WW2 seagoing vessel with the beginning Victor.....
https://www.naval-history.net/xGM-Chrono-04CV-Victorious.htm  the history shows part of her service in the frozen north.

Thank you MaxD and medpat for your replies,

I had been told that it was a WW2 photo with the gentleman in the middle having been identified as a relative so great to know the actual time the photograph was taken!

I will have a look at the links you have referenced.

Thank you

Anna
