Title: Burial place for Harriet Brabant 1862
Post by: Sue Greene on Wednesday 23 June 21 06:30 BST (UK)
Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to find a burial place for a Harriet Brabant who died the June quarter 1862.
Harriet is on the 1861 census with her husband.
The were living in the parish of St Peter, Municipal ward of Ledbury. Looks like Maylord Street.
Would love to try and find a burial place for her.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Sue.

in the 1861 census she was living in Maypole Street ?
.......................................................
Harriet Brabant was a woman born in 1826 in Brighton Sussex St Peter. During the 1861 UK Census she was 35 years old and lived in Herefordshire. She appears as the wife of her house in the 1861 UK Census.
LAST NAME:   Brabant
FIRST NAME:   Harriet
MIDDLE NAME:
BIRTH YEAR:   1826
BIRTH PLACE:   Brighton Sussex St Peter
COUNTY:   Herefordshire
GENDER:   Female
RESIDENCE:   Maylord St
St Peter, Herefordshire
HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS:
Richard Brabant (34, Male)
Harriet Brabant (35, Female)
William E Brabant (7, Male)
Mederick J Brabant (4, Male)
Ledley J Brabant (2, Male)

so as she was born in Brighton as Harriet Cox -married in Gloucester 1852 to Richard Brabant - you may have to consider she may possibly be in a family grave in Brighton ?

Hi,
Yes she was Harriet Cox born in Brighton.
The family moved to Gloucester where more brothers and a sister were born.
Her parents were Isaac Cox and Maria.
Both Isaac and Maria died in Gloucester. Isaac died 1833 and Maria died 1836. I have their burial records. Isaac's occupation was a tailor and a coal merchant.
in the 1861 census she was living in Maypole Street ?

[Hi,
Not sure about the marriage as yet. There is also an Isaac Cox marriage to Maria Bennet 6 Sep 1818.
Would tie in as the first child Emma was born 1819. Isaac would have been about 19 when he married.
Isaac was born in Kent son of Thomas Cox and Grace. Thomas in the Militia. I have his attestation record and his will.
