Hello all! I have found the family I am searching in the 1940 US census living in Stickney, Illinois: John Rovny age 60 born Czechoslovakia and his wife, "Tille" age 59 born in Ohio. With them in 1940 is their son, Theodore "Ted" age 33 born in Illinois on 15 December 1906. I am trying to find this family in earlier censuses because I have a problem with the ages of the parents. Either their ages are significantly off in 1940 OR I have a "missing generation." Can any sharp-eyed Rootschatter spot this couple in 1910, 1920 and/or 1930 with the thought of birth years being somewhat "off." ( I had professional research done on this family in the Czech records and there is a Jan/John Rovny, but he was christened in 1853.... Thanking you in advance. Most sincerely, patrexjax

Hello again! I wanted to re-emphasize my thanks to you; I had some issue with accessing my FS account but thanks to another Rootschatter, it appears to have been resolved. One shocker - for me - was that John Rovny indicated he came to the US in 1894! THAT was much earlier than I had thought. Also, I am wondering if he may have come over with parents and/or siblings? At any rate, I do thank you profusely! Sincerely, patrexjax
