Hi
The GRO have the following birth registration
Olive Rose Boughton 1903 Dec Q Dartford mmn Godfrey
There is another possible sibling
Sidney Boughton mmn Godfrey 1908 June Q Dartford mmn also Godfrey.
In 1911 Sidney appears to be living with Aunt and Uncle Godfrey but no Olive.
Bmds suggest parents could be Horace Boughton and Amy Godfrey who married in Dartford in 1903.

hello cath151
I know about the family in england there is also a gertrude may baptised 1906 in 1911 they are in the care of barnados while sidney is still with his mother. Both olive and gertrude were sent to canada as home children it is information about any chidren born to them in canada and also .whether descendants are interested in the family in england. I have been having a rest from family history having got as far back as i feel i am able to go thought i would sort out some things i didnt get to before.

So is Olive perhaps Ivy? If so they both went to Peterborough, ON
You can search the 1921 Census and see if they are there.

The tree also says her husband Orland Clifford Cosby died 1 March 1981 and is buried in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill, Ontario. No source for either date
They are said to have had a son Carmon Orland Cosby (1931 - 11 December 1968), buried Mt Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville, Niagara, Ontario, Canada.
and a daughter May Kathleen (Cosby) Harris (1933 - 8 April 2010, Welland Hospital, Welland, Ontario). Her husband Albert William Harris said to have died 25 June 2003, same hospital.
also a son, marked private in the tree.

Can we post images that have names of living persons?
Gertrude and Clifford Cosby's obits are on the tree at ancestry as images.
Edit: May and Albert Harris' obituaries are online, not her parents'.

Hey Guys, I’ve just found this thread, even though it is a little old.
Ray, I’m wondering why you were looking this up, assuming you are related to Ivy or Gertrude.
My great grandmother is Gertrude, my mom remembers her but didn’t remember a sister, although she definitely did have one.
My family line goes me- my mom- Mae Kathleen Cosby- Gertrude Gladys Boughton
I’m trying to connect with descendants of Ivys and also trying to figure out Ivy and Gertrude’s parents.
Let me know if you want any information from me
Thanks

hello again
yes i have seen that if you go on free B m d u k you will find olive rose dec 1903 Dartford 2a 581 there is no death or marriage record for her in England. i do not know how the names were changed however they were only young when Barnados sent them. i also do not know why the brother stayed here with the mother. she is with sister Gertrude on the boat i believe i have this right having spent a long time looking for an alternative.
