Could it be 'lk' in the middle? Capital 'R' to start?

The paper sleeve belongs to the UK Columbia label circa 1968/ 69. The actual record in the bag was the wrong one. I have access to a comprehensive list of all the artistes on that label for the year, but currently stuck for the handwriting, I thought RAIL L CLER  which makes no sense.

Interesting one.

I also thought "R" or possibly "K" at the beginning, but the following letters make no sense.

What about "G"? Then it could be Gail Something-or-Other...

The surname that first sprung to My mind, was Rawls. That being Lou Rawls, the Soul Singer. However, I don't think He ever recorded for UK Columbia.

Good call, Karen  :)

I can see  Karl K but not the King. Could he have messed up the surname by writing over the edge of the record?

I suddenly saw a possible Ron Mclean   :-X

We're on a roll now!  ;D ;D ;D

Can we make a "D" out of the first letter? My Dad's capital "D" is along those lines...

Then we have Don McClean. He of "Vincent" fame. How I love that song...

I see Rail but can't make sense of anything else. A smaller file to see it better. I did a google match with the snip but couldn't find a matching autograph.  ::)

If it is Patsy, she is a very obscure artist who only had 3 records in her whole career as far as I know. The only google hits on her that arent records are to do with Panto/ variety appearances. Theres are only 2 or 3 of those.
